Is there a place to set options for the welcome screen? I know you can change the way users log on, but that's not what I am looking for.

Specifically what I am trying to do is keep the welcome screen and not go to the Ctrl+Alt+Delete login type (that would take away my ability to switch users and would make me have to log out everytime I have to do something from my admin account).

The problem is, under the usernames it shows how many unread emails I have.
    1) It is wrong anyway. It keeps saying I have unread emails even after I log in and verify that I do not

    and

    2) I don't want some nosey people to be able to walk by and look and see how many emails I have

    Any suggestions?

Download the TweakUI Powertoy for Windows XP.

It has an option to turn off the "show unread emails" under Logon - Unread email

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar.

Today you have made me a wiser man, so I leave with you these parting words of wisdom.

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you will be a mile away and he will have no shoes.
