Yeah. I live 7 miles from where I could get cable or dsl. So, I'm subscribed to a wireless internet connection through midwest wireless (cellphone company). 512Kb down | 128Kb up -it is $44.99 a month / so the cost isn't a factor. It's distance.

Well, I decided to run this test again...

    And here's what I got:

    2005-09-28 12:27:47 EST: 5014 / 355
Your download speed : 5135082 bps, or 5014 kbps.
    A 626.8 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 364166 bps, or 355 kbps.

I was rather surprised how fast my connection is, considering how much lag I get when playing WoW<--(that explains why I haven't been around in a while )

I ran it a few more times and the best I have come up with is:

    2005-09-28 12:35:51 EST: 5301 / 378
Your download speed : 5428766 bps, or 5301 kbps.
    A 662.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 387859 bps, or 378 kbps.

I guess Adelphia has been updating its broadband service. Now if I could only get better upload rates :|

    Also available is:
    $32.95 2 meg down 512K up

    $39.95 3 meg down 768K up

    $49.95 5 meg down 1 meg up

I am not happy with my Internet. Movies and You Tube hang up all the time. I don't game . Which speed choice would you all recommend if I decide to pay more? Not looking to spend more then I need too.
