    it cost me $3000 CND new a year ago, not that great now but it should hold up for at least another year :|... I hope

    I got a new laptop the other day, its an IBM thinkpad a21m

    here is some of the specs

    P3 800mhz
    128megs ram (looking max it out at 512)
    20 gig HD
    DVD ROM
    3.5 floppy
    onboard nic/modem intel combo
    Rage fury 8meg AGP mobile GPU
    Svideo out for DVD playback on TV
    USB and 2 pcima slots
    14.1inch viewable lcd screen
    keyboard Light

    and in the system devices it says there is a Infra red, but I cant find it on the laptop

    I bought this computer 3 years ago and am now heading into the 4th year. paid 1500 for it

    PIII 733 on an abit vt6x4 mobo
    384 mb pc133 cruicial ram
    geforce2 gts 32mb
    soundblaster platinum
    sony fd trinitron 17"
    sony spressa cdrw 12x8x40x
    pioneer dvd 16x/52x
    smc 1211tx nic
    a 2.1 yamaha speaker system... the specific model and name eludes me
    40 gig 7200rpm WD hd

    recent upgrades are a 120gb WD 8mb cache hd

    gonna use this system as a home server and build a new amd system soon

    I got it "running" at $171 (mobo and prossor). but it just needed more.
