I did a little writeup on the topic today. Intended to be a more layman explanation of the differences, and fairly brief.

I am planning on installing a wireless network in my house in the next few weeks and I am confident that you guys (wifinights) are going to be the ones helping me through it with the articles that you post because I have no idea what I am doing. :D

I don't have time to read this article now, but I will definitely be reading it later on today...

Just use WPA2 w/ TKIP and you'll be all set. :)

Hostrocket's entire host89 server range got rooted by an ssh attack last week. I'm working on transferring everything to a new host. Having issues migrating the wordpress so I think i'm going to start over with something else.

The fundimentals of pretty secure wireless:

    - Encryption (WEP or WPA) - Secure
    - MAC address filtering - Specifically Hardened
    - Do not broadcast Wireless ID - Anonymous

Following these rules will keep Joe Wardriver out of your network. If a good hacker wants in your network specifically... he/she'll get in one way or another.

WEP or WPA specifically doesn't matter. Just use the one you feel more comfortable in using. Just set the three things above and you will not be the easy target. ;)
