Weird problem with Windows2003

    On the desktop the icons have a background to them, where it is blue? I remember removing this uhh "feature" on WindowsXP but I dont recall how I did it.

    You mean like Windows 2000 has (color text background)? If you want them to be transparent (like XP), Right click My Computer | Advance | Performance - Settings | and "Use drop shadows for Icons...".

    Dunno if it's worth starting a thread over - but does anyone know how to remove the arrow in a shortcut icon? I thought i remeber hearing something about it, but I'm not sure where i heard it.
