We have a dashcam which records to MicroSD card in QuickTime .MOV\nformat. After a pre-selected duration it closes the current file on\nthe card and starts a fresh one, overwriting the oldest when the card\nis filled (loop recording). This all works fine except that when\npower to the camera is lost - which can obviously happen in an\naccident scenario - the part file which has been written is\ninaccessible.\n\nWe have been using Windows Movie Maker to edit the files but it won't\nlook at these aborted recordings, nor will anything else we have at\nhand. I am presuming that there is info written to the header when\nthe file is closed and the problem arises from this step being\ncompleted. I base this on the fact that WMM startes off on a long\nprocess to import the files, but doesn't even sniff at the incomplete\nones.\n\nCan anyone suggest a way to get access to the content of these\ninterrupted recordings?
