    A recharge on the original battery now lasts less than 20 minutes -
    any suggestions on replacments available in sydney metrop area.

    Gee whiz, I would never thought of that .... uh duh!

    I suspect there's a few companies out there that might sell
    non-original-brand replacements just that wee bit cheaper than the
    bloated prices for brand name replacements .... or was that a bit too
    subtle.

    Tandy used to have a laptop battery repacking service. Try there (or at Dick Smith).

    They have a number of stores but it is best to order online or phone
    ahead as it can take half a day to get the battery in. Cheaper online.

  7. Try CODA Batteries at Sylvania on the Princes Hwy, I just replaced my
    battery & they were much cheaper than the original item.
