Test Results of Google Offline Named Map List (after 30 days)

  1. By way of update, the 30 days (29 for iOS devices) has 'expired'
on my offline Google Maps using the month-old GUI that allows
one to create a named list of maps.

The (minor) bad news is that there didn't seem to be any warning
that the maps were expiring and/or expired after the 29/30 days.

However (nice) good news is that, even after they expired, the
named list remained. Therefore it was *easy* to update the
Google offline maps (for another 29/30) days.

The (inconvenient) bad news is that you have to update each one
manually (which, for a score of offline maps, is a pain).

But, the (inconsistent?) good news is that, even for the maps
I didn't update, they didn't seem to delete them.

I'm not wholly positive on that because I started updating
before I realized I should test the offline capability by
turning off the cellular & wifi, but, I *think* the offline
maps, while having expired, actually remained.

I'll have to wait again, until all the maps expire (so that
I won't have overlapping map edges, which you can't tell
with Google offline maps), in order to be sure on that
    last one.

If anyone knows for sure if the map remains after the 29/30
    days, let us know.
