    Hello everyone :D,

    as the topic states I am looking for a SUPER cheap budget laptop. I have been looking on dells website at there refurbished laptop section. I am buying this laptop for my upcoming deployment to basically watch movies and if it makes it through that then to surf the web and to skype with.

    I have my own copy of Windows7 and was wondering if this computer could run windows7 without any hiccups:

    I will of course be running win7 32 bit. It meets all the specs on windows website for minimum requirements but I am concerned about having enough video ram.

    If this laptop will not be able to run windows7 then I will just purchase one with Windows XP

    There is the link of all the selections. If someone wants to find a laptop that would better fit my needs then please do. I am trying to be super cheap because I don't want to take anything to nice with me and I am trying to avoid buying a netbook because I hate there tinyness :D. Thanks in advance

    Gotcha covered.

    Not a problem. I've got just the thing, and for 50 bucks (plus s&h of course). Only for THQ members!

    Missing a few things...doesn't have installation DVD...or display. Also missing hard drive and memory sticks. Pretty sure I have the keyboard somewhere though; if not, you can just plug a USB one in. Needs a new power adapter or possibly motherboard.

    Otherwise in pretty good shape. It's an Acer...nothing to sneeze at.

    See pics for salient details.

    Yeah, just taking the piss.

    16 MB VRAM? Is that for real?

    Unless W7 cringes at the nonexistent video capacity, it should install x32 or x64. You'll have to turn off everything that moves, though. I think that's a nice low price, but horrible hardware.

    Well the above computers are all 2+ years old. A lot of them being manufactuered in 2007. I wont care if I have to turn off a lot of visual things within windows 7. Windows 7 is just the only operating system that I actually own. If all else fails I will just have buy one with windows xp

    Well, at least the good thing is that with the hardware being on the light side, it should run cooler, which will be a help if you're going to the Middle East or something.

    Let us know how Windows performs on it.

    I actually just opted and bought this laptop on Newegg.com;

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

    for 650 bucks when it was originally 800. Its sold out now but I think its a lot of bang for your buck. It is running games like Left for dead 2, the new medal of honor and Starcraft 2 pretty well. I am glad I actually shelled out a decent amount of cash for this. This is my 2nd Acer and I already like the build of this one a lot better! The case is a lot nicer
