I saw it yesterday, and I must say, it is very good. The scenes between Anakin and Padme are a little cheesy, as is one other moment in the movie, but these moments are made up for by stunning visuals, a strong storyline with no apparent holes, and some amazing fight scenes. There are times in the movie when I would look at Anakin and think "Wow, it's Luke Skywalker!" I think that this is the best of the Prequels.
I need to see it again in Digital Projection.

Ep III was excellent! I'm a huge SW's fan and am sad in a way that there will not be any more Star Wars movies.

I'm glad the movie told us how Darth became to look the way he did in Ep 6.

Despite the terrible writing and acting I thought overall it was a good movie.

I just got back from seeing Episode III.... Freaking amazing! Wow! For as much as Yoda hobbles around he has some great moves.

What an amazing series. It's so sad to see a trilogy end, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix...

Ya, I saw it the sunday after it came out and I have to say I was impressed.

I was watching Ebert & Roeper and they were talking about it being the end of the star wars movies but they both agreed that it would be too hard for hollywood to discontinue making them since its such a big money maker.

the writing and dialogue were beyond bad.
i found the emporer in the first few scenes wa way too cheasy and just a bit out of character though

    as for a plot error:
also didnt understand why obi wan yells "i love you like a brother anakin!!" at the end then just walks off leaving him in beyond aginising pain with no real limbs left and burning to death.
    ...fun fun fun!!
    and another weird one:
Samuel L Jackson kicks the emporers arse onto the ground, and should have won, but when yoda attempts to kill him it much more of a stalemate resulting in him retreating, even thought yoda is meant to be the greatest jedi in the universe

General grevious was a bit dull..
    worsty of all was...
    JAR JAR BINKS DOESNT DIE!!!!

but other than that is was amazing!!

    EVERYONE should see it.

best bit for me was (bit gimpy but.. )
the way in the beginnning the jedi's star ships wings folded out like x-wings but in the shape of a tie fighter. the other ships were also similar. awsome linking of the good republic/rebels and evil emporor/empire

I think overall everyone can agree that it was worth the $7 to go see it though, right?

Sigh, for the people complaing about the dialog, etc. This isn't supposed to be a mind blowing dialog filled movie, it's purley action based, so shut up about the tid bits and enjoy it... this movie was geared towards younger audiances and those who enjoy fun action movies.

I'm surprised that Yoda had failed, though if he did Ep's 4-6 wouldn't of happened. Anakin is one bad *** too. I wonder what Qwi-gon will teach Obi?

Qui Gon taught Obi-Wan how to exist after dying. Here are some good points I found reading on this subject:
    1. -Uncle Owen makes reference that Kanobi is probably already dead.
    2. -Grand Moff Tarkin says," Obi-Wan Kanobi? Surely he must be dead by now." Vader: "Don't underestimate the power of the force."
    3. -Kanobi, "You can't win, Darth, if you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
    4. -Kanobi dissapeers when he raises his guard to allow Vader to strike him down. No other character in any of the six moives dissapeers immediately upon death. Vader himself is completely perplexed at his disappearance.
I hope that clears it up for you.

    Also:
Kanobi comes back to Luke after he dies, when Luke is helping destroy the Death Star

Right, Yoda and Anakin were able to re-appear to Luke in the end after they had died. Kanobi taught them as well.

Does anybody know when Obi-Wan taught Anakin, since Obi-Wan didn't learn until after Anakin became Darth Vader?

It is possible that Obi-wan came to Anakin after he died. This might have contributed to Vader's decision to tell Luke about the family

I agree to some extent. I found the dialogue and writing so bad in some places it ruined the mood of the scene. And action based it may be, that does not excuse the level of poor writing in this film.

Like when Anakin is in his Vader suit and finds out he killed Padme. He then proceeds to throw his hands in the air and let out a long scream. Seriously, could that be anymore corny and cliche? What is this, Platoon?

I thought that it was fitting for the moment, it represented him realizing the transition from light to dark.

Just saw it last night. It was what I was excepting, a interesting story, a lot of action and bad dialogue.

Exactly my thoughts. At some points the dialogue was so bad it ruined the mood of it all. At somepoints it seemed very cheesey. That is a perfect example that you gave too.
