SOS, Driver For AC97 Driver for Intel 82801AA Needed

Hi guys

I desperately require the driver for the above sound card. Please let me
know where I can download it. I've searching for more than to weeks now.
The "Driver Guide" website doesn't work. Only the introduction files had
been uploaded.

Go to the Intel website and search their downloads section for "soundmax"

 

"The Above" is not a sound card, it's an ICH (I/O Controller Hub) that is
part of an Intel chipset.
I suggest you instal the latest Intel inf update utility.

and find out what audio chip your board is using, then find a driver for it.

 

I'm making an assumption here that you have windows XP and its a copy
that you are able to download the updates.

If you do, have you tried updating XP through the Windows XP site it
will have the relevant drivers when you look at the other hardware and
software update options, even if you don't have a version installed, it
checks the hardware you have installed on the PC.
