Site Merger Downfall

    For the record, I am a member of TechieHQ from before the merging of TechieHQ and Tech Forumz.

    From what I can gather the two sites was merged because both was suffering from lack of forum activity. From my stand point it looks as if we are still suffering from the same issue. Therefor making the merger a wasted effort, unless we can all contribute to making this work.

    From what I've heard Tech Forumz has a great community much like TechieHQ of which I have shared my time with. Lets bring the two communities together and make this place a much better community than ever before.

    I'm going to make a request from each and everyone that reads this thread. During the time you surf the web, I'm sure you find something of interest to you. Anytime you find something of interest, come share it with us here at (the new and improved) TechieHQ. If everyone could share at least one thing of interest per week, I'm sure TechieHQ will grow well beyond what it used to be as separate forums. After all TechieHQ not only has it's own database and members but that of Tech Forumz.

    Don't let the merger be in vain, lets make this place "The place to be, for answers to all questions". First thing we need is new material for what everyone is searching for. If people are searching and TechieHQ doesn't have the material, TechieHQ doesn't get any traffic.

    Share one topic, once a week, from everyone reading this thread, that is all I'm asking.

    Right now politics is the most important thing we can be discussing because this next election will make or break this country like no other in my life time. With that subject taboo here it makes it difficult to use much of my internet time here. I like this site and it has been a huge help to me but until we clean up Washington computer problems are a secondary issue for me.

    Since the rejig a few months ago, we've now got a section for just that sort of thing :)

    Good idea, I think I'm going to try and start a visual arts section, maybe a weekly blog/post thing across various areas of moving image, photography etc...

    C'mon guys. we all need to put some effort into keeping this place going. I put a lot of effort into finding things to fill the media section, and the site seems to have died a death again. :(

    I would never drink while browsing, but I did browse while I was drinking. After a while I would just drink while drinking, just to pass the time away.
