Here's the situation at hand -

Scenario is as follows: there are 3 boxes - 1)Outside Box (connecting through VPN) 2) a low security box (server1) that runs Citrix 3)a high security box (server2) that has files/folders that need to be shared.

The client/user connects to server1 through the vpn client. Once connected to server1 they need to have access to certain file/folders that are on server2. The way it is currently setup is that the OutsideBox will never see nor access server2. It has to be done only through server1.

How can we set this up, so files/folders on server2 are accessible on server1. It may seem simple, but really seems complicated to us.:?
The problem we note is that we can't share mapped network drives! so that is where we are stuck. We have the files/folders shared through a mapped network drive from server2 to server1, but the user/client connected on to server1 doesn't have access.

All help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Tony

ok... let's disregard the whole VPN aspect.

i just want to have a mapped network drive from server2 on server1 to show up as a regular drive. This "mounted drive" doesn't seem to allow that. We want it to be show as a regular drive, so as when browsing the network you can access it as it was a local disk C:.

Is that clear, or am i confusing this more!

Can you tell us more how your network is setup? Connectivity, security settings, etc.

No...the mounted drive I described above is differant than a 'mapped' drive. It will show up as a regular drive.
You could also try to create a shortcut on the machine you vpn into with a path of \\server2\folder
