    Hello,

Have a bit of a problem.

    New iPad user.
Have taken some videos with the iPad, and found a nice APP to upload
them to my Windows 7 PC.

All is fine, except that they are ninety degrees out of orientation, and
need to be rotated. Probably the way I was holding the iPad, I guess.

    Looked at, and played with:

    Windows media Player
    VLC Media Player
    SplashLite

Tried Apple QuickTime, but couldn't get it to work at all, for some reason.

Also tried IrfanView which wouldn't recognize the file type.

None seem to have a "Rotation" option. A bit surprising.

Anyone know of a "Video Viewer" that would enable me to rotate the video
    ninety degrees ?

    Or,... ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi,

    Got Quicktime to work now.

Funny that the other Viewers would show it "wrong".

Am I correct in assuming that the video should be oriented correctly on
playback irrespective of how I held the iPad camera; either of the two
    ways ?

Any other Viewers besides Quicktime that you think are worth trying ?

Quicktime seems to work now, but on my PC, for whatever reason, it seems
    a bit flaky.

Would like to find another Viewer that would show it correctly, and/or
    allow for rotating.

Much thanks for help; very appreciated,
    Bob

    Hi,

    See following answer.

Pix taking with iPad looked fine; just the playback was mis-oriented.
