Resetting iPad for a new user/owner

I gave my wife an iPad with Retina display, 32GB wi--fi for Christmas. She
wanted one. After six months, most of it sitting in a drawer, she's decided she
doesn't want it and gave it to me. All well and good. I currently own a Motorola
Xoom Android tablet and won't mind upgrading to the iPad.

My question is how do I, or can I get rid of her accounts and set it up for my
own use, with my own credit card and email addresses etc. I can see in Settings
how to unistall a few apps I won't be needing.

Is there a simple way to do this or do I have to do something like a factory
reset. I found Reset under Settings>General, but I'm not sure if that's what I
    want. Thanks.

That's the one! Specifically, "Erase All Content and Settings"

Or you can do a restore in iTunes.
That's what I did when I gave my old iPad away.
Made it just like out-of-the-box-new for the new owner.
