My brother, the idiot that he is, managed to delete all of his saved passwords from netscape 9. He had a lot, and he can't remember most of them.

So now it's up to me to find a way to recover them, so here I am to ask you lovely people :D

Now I know the fact that he's using Netscape 9 is going to annoy so many people - don't worry though, I already gave him the lecture regarding internet browsers.

So yeah, if there's any way of doing this, please, let me know :)

Going to be googling for a bit methinks...

You could try using a program like Recuva (http://www.recuva.com/) to see if there are any deleted files in the Netscape settings directory. I don't use netscape, but it's probably in the c:\users\username\appdata\ folder somewhere :)

Thanks for that Ian - luckily we found a month old backup of the passwords, and so have managed to sort it out :)

Shall have a look at Recuva for other such items :)
