XP Pro PC connected to Epson Stylus CX6600 using USB port. Works OK.

Install new PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Connect Epson to USB port.
W7 finds it, installs the built-in driver; prints OK.

Configure file sharing so XP machine can see W7 machine.

On W7, look at Epson printer properties - enable printer sharing. Note
advice about need for possible alternate drivers, so download driver for
XP. Driver GUI sees x86 and x64 drivers, and shows x64 driver is
already configured. Tell it to install x68 driver: error message about
    wrong driver for architecture.

Look at XP machine. It can see printer on W7. Tell it to "connect".
Fails - don't remember the error.

On XP machine edit port settings for printer driver to use TCP/IP port -
point it to IP address of W7 PC, use "Generic" settings. No error
messages. But printing hangs, with job waiting in print queue.

Can anybody tell me the correct port settings to get this to work, please?

    TIA
