This furball is Milton. He's actually my former neighbor's cat. The neighbor was often away for extended periods, so when he got lonely Milton would pad across the awning that separated our two balconies, and meow plaintively at the door until I let him in. He would then plop down at my feet, and not leave 'till he got a tummy rub. He's the most gregarious and least timid cat I've ever met.

I wasn't going to post this one, since I won't use a public file host and it's about 10 Megs (and it's a RAR file), but then I realized that I'm not using all that much of my site bandwidth.

So, here's the worm/spider/thing being put together, for those of you with nice downstream speeds.

    Click.

Carved wood (or anything, for that matter) is (in photoshop, at least) a fairly simple affair. The below steps can of course be modified and re-arranged.

    - Duplicate the layer containing the material to be carved into
    - Create the text, put a selection around it, then hide the layer
    - Invert the selection, and create a mask over the duplicate layer, hiding the shape of the text (in other programs, you could just delete the contents of the selection, cutting out the shape).
    - Apply a "Bevel and Emboss" layer style. The default settings give okay results; a little tweaking may help.
    - Unhide the text; change its color to white. Apply the "Inner Glow" style (again, default settings are okay but should be tweaked to suit). Then take the "Fill" on the text layer to 0%.

Yeh, our state(Colorado) troopers have Dodge Chargers now. If I hear about any police or state police that are driving around Mustang GTs, I will be signing up. :D
