    I would suggest saving it as a different file extension 'cause the .jpg screwed with some pixles

    hmm i think i see them. it has nothing to do with jpeg compression because the image has the lowest compression possible. i'll smooth those out.

    Actually, .jpeg is not lossless so there will be some differences saving it as one. You should save as a .tiff .bmp or .png to keep it lossless.

    My foray into 3D continues. Modelling the lamp took several hours; setting up the scene took another half hour.

    @codex: wow are you planning to model a whole chess set? may i suggest a glass chess set? the glass would look nuts!

    nice! the glass would look a lot more dynamic if there was more stuff being refracted. oh well, i guess the final product would look good on a chess board with all the peices. nice job!
