I went to see it opening night ... it was unbelievably packed, even though I went to see it in a small town the theatre opened up a second screen with Pirates at the last moment and they were both completely full went I went.

all in all it was good, the ending was absolutely infuriating ... in a good way lol .

The villian isn't really as good as Barbosa was, but I think it is because while he looks cool he doesn't have much facial expression.

I was a little surprised because the opening scene was ... less than family disney ... not that it bothered me but I dragged my little sis along assuring her she wouldn't be afriad. Well, its slightly more gory and more PG 14 than the first.

I was going to see it on Friday but I did not have a chance. I'll probably see the matinea this week.

I didn't realise the movie was so popular.

I disagree. I was infuriated alright, but not in a good way.

Warning: If you haven't seen the movie, then my spoiler will mess it up for you.

How are they going to end the movie right after Jack Sparrow "dies" and they bring out Barbosa? I was cussing up a storm when I made to the car away from all the kids.

    Spoiler .. and reply

Well Jack doesn't nessecarily die ... well maybe. The point is I would rather have a third movie than have them crap 5 hours of story in 2 1/2 hours. Though it will be **** to wait for the next movie, it keeps it interesting. If nothing else its a great marketing ploy, I bet the third movie's opening night will be even better than this one was.

More material that will ruin the movie for you. I'll bet you guys that want to see it wish you already have so that you could read this conversation without messing up the movie for you ;).

I agree it sets up for the 3rd one. And they wanted it to look like he died until the very end when they brought out Barbosa. I also agree that I would rather see 2 movies than 5 hours of story crammed into one. But they didn't have to end it hanging like that.

I know, now I'm just pouting.

There is a five second bit after the credits that reveals nothing at all about the story, but is rather humorous.
