I bought a used Palm TX so I don't have to haul my laptop with me on campus and will still be able to browse the web and check email and stuff. Also it came with the GPS add-on, so that's always a plus.\n\nHowever, I can't get the thing to sniff out my wireless network. It found my college WLAN just fine, but I can't figure out how to get my router settings so that the Palm will find it. :|\n\nThe WLAN is WPA-protected and broadcasting. I've added the SSID and passphrase into the PDA but it's no good. I haven't tried with the WLAN unsecure, don't like the thought of it.\n\nHere are the settings for my WLAN on my router:\n\nWireless Channel: 6\nExtension Channel: 2\nSSID: Starfleet Command\nWireless Mode: 802.11b/g/n\nBandwidth: 20/40Mhz\nBroadcast SSID: On\nProtected Mode: Off\n802.11e/WMM QoS: On\n\nSecurity Mode: WPA/WPA2-Personal (PSK)\nAuthentication: WPA-PSK\nEncryption: TKIP\nPre-shared Key: ***********\n\nWi-Fi Protected Setup: Enabled\nUse As Access Point: Disabled\nMAC Address Control: Disabled\n\n\n\nAvailable WiFi settings on the Palm TX when adding a new wireless connection:\nNetwork Name (SSID):\nSecurity: (WEP or WPA-PSK)\nConnect to: Peer-to-peer (ad hoc), or Access Point (infrastructure)\n\nAny ideas welcome.
