Any NIN users should look at <>

As of April 1 there will be a fee to access their news servers.

Anyone know of a comparable service that's free?

Go to the Usenet newsgroup "" and read the
posts there. Alternatively, use to search for free
nntp / news servers. ( There is a webring of sites hosting server
details too. ) Hope this helps...

You'd be right if this were pre-october 2004. But since then I get a shitload
of threads starting with "Re:" and quoting a previous post that didin't appear.
The miss rate is probably about 10%. I'd been contemplating moving when I had
the time to research the alternatives. Maybe I'll now have to put projects
    aside and find the time.

Besides, read the fine print about how to pay them.

BTW Trevor I wish you wouldn't post with that "**". One of my filters that
blocks UNOHU posts latches onto that.

Oh bullshit, its nothing like that.
Bet that's what's dropping some of the originals that you only see a Re: to too.

Maybe not for you. And pre-10/04 or so it was *very* close to 0%. Shitloads
    betetr than bigpong/TPG/WAIA feeds.
You lose. I see the original quoted in the majority of cases, and I'd venture
that NONE were from Phyllis. , After all, she rarely initiates a thread.

No reason why it should be any different for you.
    Separate matter entirely.
Nope, you do. Your original 10% claim is just plain wrong.
Irrelevant when he isnt the only one that uses that rather odd approach.

Listen fuckwit, I know what I see. Obviously you see something different. Stop
tossing so often and your eyesight might improve.
Totally relevant. She's the (only) reason I use that filter. And I've yet to
notice anyone using it in an initial post - only in replies.

Like hell you do, you're hallucinating all the time.
Irrelevant when others use that approach too.
