As the recipient of at least 1 spam a day from these jokers, I just wanted
to say (perhaps preaching to the converted though?) never buy from Morgan
Computers aka Benthams as they spam you unmercifully ever after, and the
"unsub" links in their emails seem to lead to third party spammer address
    harvesting sites.

If anyone knows how to get off their mailing lists please advise.

Moreover, I've gradually realised that the real Morgan Computers ceased
trading some time ago (retail outlets have all closed), Benthams simply
bought the "goodwill" and brand image to peddle stuff identical to what you
can get cheaper from channel islands shops or even Poundland etc.

I find it hard to believe that someone posting to a tech-literate
newsgroup can't filter spam from his in-box. uk.comp.vendors is still
there if you want to whinge.

I find it hard to believe that someone who IS supposed to be tech literate
doesnt realise that by putting `no spam` in front of the @ symbol means that
ntlworld will still receive the spam and THEN look for a user called
`nospam` thus clogging up their servers!

Putting the spam defeat after the @ symbol ensures it never reaches ntl in
    the first place.

    Oh dear!

    :)

Except that's my real address - it's there so people can see how to send
    me emails.

Why are you concerned about NTL servers (who are now Google anyway) and
I'm sure they're competent enough to handle it!

Haha, I get this from ebuyer. And yes I have unsubscribed several times.
And yes I have emailed them, and yes got a reply that it would stop
"as soon as their database was updated". That was over a year ago!
Nothing works; I could of course call them on their premium phone line,
but I'm not that stupid. Anyway, ebuyer have completely lost my business
due to their thick stupidity of continued spamming of my mailbox.

While you not received much thanks for your message here I think it is
one worth repeating. IME the Bentham group of companies are unscrupulous
traders of dubious pedigree and not to be trusted with anyone's money
    (or personal details).

Morgan Computers, IJT Direct, making-it-green, Cartex and others, all
    worth avoiding.
