making me crazy........

    I have optonline and am connected most of time. I am trying to rid my pc of this annoying pop-up search page type that completely takes over and I can not get out of it nor can I do anything else! I have to log off and then back on! I have tried all I know to try and find it and rid my pc of it. Any suggestions? Thanks very much.
    p.s It only happens upon 1st time start-up.

    Download and install AdAware from our handy tools section. More than likely that running that will clear it up.

    I moved this thread to the Security section. No biggie. ;)

    Anyways, I would run Ad-Aware like Josh suggested. Even CWS shredder as well. If that does not help your problem, run HijackThis and post your log here.

    All of the mentioned programs are listed in the Handy Tools section.
