LPT1 Disabled

    Hi. Having trouble printing; dialogue box appears
    ( cannot find LPT1); checked in device manager& find LPT1 disabled.
    Entered Bios to turn on LPT1; no means of turning on or off lpt1.
    Looked in registry, find (value not set) Should it be set to something?
    What? How?
