I just bought a book to learn the basics of PHP. I am very excited about learning this language because it is very fast and it integrates with HTML very well.

Cool, you going to go through the whole book in a 24 hour span? ;)

I know very basic PHP, What I'd like to learn more on is SQL/MySQL database.

I got a book like that except it was for VB, but I can't stand teaching myself after teaching myself HTML:doh

    Good luck...

If the book is a SAM then they are very well written.

No, I'm not going to go through it in 24 hours. Basically it is setup in 24 basic sections which should take about an hour to read, but you still need to practice what you've learned.

Yeah, it's by SAM and it is very well written!

i personally wouldnt waste the money on the book there are a ton of internet resources which you can use for free to teach yourself how php works

i used www.webmonkey.com to get me started then i went to

www.hotcode.com and looked at some of the code thats there and learned from what others had done

never forget that php.net (homepage of php) is a godly site of resource
