    any ideas why suddenly iview will not work with firefox (it used to) in
    mint 17 (linux)on my laptop through wifi has something changed with
    flash plugin or iview,other channels seem to work, presumably with
    flash,The only way I have found to watch iview is with chrome.

  2. Pure speculation, but it could be related to this;

    The iView mechanism may still be using older certificates for the
    negotiation of the media stream.

    Failing that, a plug-in that's recently been updated? It's obviously not a
    network issue as Chrome would be in the same boat.

    I've no idea whether it used to work or not but it
    certainly doesn't now with Firefox 33 and Win7.

    Keeps saying on the iview pages that it requires adobe
    flash player, even when you have installed that.

    Presumably the way it asks firefox if its running
    conflicts with firefox's check of the version of
    the flash player that's installed or something.

    Works fine on Win 7 Firefox 28.
    I did not like FF 29 so have stuck at 28 and am happy. Don't have the
    time to install FF 33 just to test.
