    thanks for any advice

I am looking for a new notebook for my daughter who is
travelling to UK as a student.

If something goes wrong with it I would like the process to
be as painless as possible as she can use a computer not
    resolve issues with them..

Any recommendations on brands and warranty processes ? Any
    personal experiences ?

    thanks

Don't have any advice for you, other than to say it's wise of you to
consider this. I bought an Averatec notebook in Canada, and of course two
parts have broken on it since I got back to Australia, while still under
    warranty!

    Thanks

all my costings involve at least 2 years international
    warranty

Dell was looking good (3 years) as it appeared theirs
offered on site international warranty dependant on
    location.
