I was on TV

Anyone in georga watching the highschool football games on gptv ( I know theres at least 1 person from GA here) saw me on TV saturday. I am in the lowndes marching band and our show was on state wide tv. I know they got at least one close-up of me and a few other people. I know it's not a big deal but I was happy

 

Nice!!! I was on TV once but it was the local education channel circa first grade... this tv channel is visited by -------- only by my parents

 

Heh yea we won Saturday too so We'll be on Georgia Public broadcasting again thus upcoming saturday. Man I'm getting tired of 5 hour bus trips...

 

heh just found out today that we are going to the inaugeration (sp?) parade in Jan. We have gotten alot of support from the town for this so it won't cost us much. We are also going to the Rose bowl parade in '06. All the seniors were dissappointed that they couldn't go. Looks like a busy year ahead....

 

Wow. So you guys must be pretty good if you are going to the rose bowl parade.

 

Nice... Is this a huge high school? or a small one with a bunch of talent?

 

It is a big school. There are over 900 ninth graders and 300+ in band. I guess we have talent even though we get yelled at alot.

 

Do you have to get accepted into the inaugural parade or is it whoever signs up and can afford it? Just out of curiosity...

 

I think you have to get invited; we didn't sign up or anything

Well we just got back last night at around 1 and I came home and went straight to bed. the 3 days on the bus were worth it though because I got to see the president pretty close up; we actually made eye contact! The sargent in charge of our 12 buses came up and told us after the parade that they put us on twice as long as other bands and that the president had more of a reaction to us than he did to the other bands! The secret service also said they named us the toughest band because we traveled from south georgia on school buses; we were the only band on school buses. Well I think I'm gonna go back to bed and sleep till tomorrow maybe.
