So far I have been using ToodleDo as a Task App on my iPhone4 and synched it
with my Outlook Tasks using a separate ToodleDo-Synch app:

Outlook <-> Synch App <-> ToodleDo Web Account <-> iPhone ToodleDo App

After upgrading to iOS5 I found a new App on my iPhone called "Erinnerungen"
(I'm running a German version of iOS), I guess it is called something like
    "Reminders" in english.

I haven't found any settings in iTunes to sync my Outlook Tasks to this new
App. Is this something that is possible? Or only using iCloud sync? Or am I
totally misunderstanding what these reminders are about?

    Looking forward to any hints.

    Cheers

If it is "reminders" then apparently you get it automatically just by
putting in the Exchange server. At least that's what happened for me.
I sync'd to Exchange before IOS5 came along. When it did, Reminders
showed tasks from work with no additional effort on my part.

Thanks for your answer (and sorry for being slow to respond to it).

Unfortunately I am talking about a home installation of Outlook, so no
Exchange for me. I am synching my contacts, notes, calendar and mail
settings through iTunes but did not find a setting for the reminders.

I guess I'm out of luck then?

    Cheers

Perhaps someone else will answer, but in case not, I'll offer the
dubious courtesy of saying I don't know. However, I can make a
_guess_ that since reminders formerly were part of the calendar,
_maybe_ it will still take care of them.

In my own case, Reminders I enter on my iPhone synch successfully via iCloud to
Outlook. But you don't see them unless you click Tasks in the main Outlook menu,
then click Reminders in iCloud under the iCloud menu in the left hand pane. You
also have to make sure Active Tasks is selected, or you may see nothing.

I don't think Apple talked to MS much during the programming of this facility....
