    What can you use to make free calls to 1800 numbers over the internet?

    Although Skype calls to 1800 numbers are free, you do have to pay the
    minimum $16 of Skype Credit or else it won't let you make the call.

    POTS = Plain Old Telephone Service

    which is what the Public Switched Telephone Network is called by old
    foggies, like Rod Speed and some others, who have been playing with them
    for a long long long long time.

    No good trying to get them use more modern terms. It's not that they
    don't know the modern terms but the oldies do seem to like the warm
    fuzzy feeling they get from archaic terminology. :)

    OK, now sit back and hopefully they'll all come out to
    talk/reminisce/debate/argue POTS and PSTN. I can almost hear the rocking
    chairs creak as they ready themselves at their keyboards :)

    Heheheheheh!!!

    {runs for cover cos I am probably gonna get whacked for being a smartarse}

    You just need a simple traditional phone or cell phone and that’s it. No costs are involved in calling a toll free number. In fact, toll free service is facilitated so that the incoming costs are born by the company or service using the toll free number and not by the user dialing the number.
