I used ATI's MMC video in feature on my Radeon 64DDR VIVO card to record me playing some old NES games. And they were recorded in MPEG/MPG. The files are sort of large for the amount of time... how or can I compress these at all? :?

The best way would be to convert the file to a divx or xvid file. Go to VCD Help. You'll find the entire process there.

For one thing, you should definitely use something a bit more sophisticated for capturing than ATI's software products... Depending on the card you can probably capture pretty decent video and compress it on the fly, without having to do that afterwards.

Try Adobe Premiere, or some other video authoring tool.
