I've got a friend's Win 7 laptop which is infected with malware.

Boots up super slow, bloated, ads everywhere etc.

I'm running malwarebytes in safe mode, and as it is in it's last phase of scanning (having found over 1000 items) the computer just automatically switches off. Nothing to do with idling too long, I make sure I move the mouse etc.

Can't seem to figure out why it keeps shutting down. Is there a malware program I can use where you can delete stuff as it is scanning? Or something that scans quickly?

Interestingly, when the laptop is powered in normal mode, it never turns itself off... just when it gets to a certain point in the scanning process (heuristic analysis) of malwarebytes when in safe mode.

    Any ideas?
