HDMI Audio Issue

My new HTPC is connected via HDMI to my TV.

Sound is fine, until I change source, say to digital TV. When I select
HDMI again there is no audio.

I assumed it was a TV issue, however if I restart the computer or just
put it into standby and awaken it immediately sound is restored.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

    Thanks.

I have a similar issue using a Radeon Hd 3200 (built in to M/B) - I find if
I go to the ati control center and reselect 'extend on to second
monitor'(YMMV - clone) audio will come back witout having to restart -
irritating though. Love the idea though, can play the kids films/dvds (isos
on my hd) whilst working/surfing, I have the audio out from the tv as aux in
to the hi-fi and using multiview/wmp can put slideshow of pictures on tv
with m3 music from main room speakers :)

Mine's also an onboard 3200. Unfortunately can't use your trick: the
HTPC is only connected to the TV.

If you haven't already report the issue to ATI:
    http://support.ati.com/ics/survey/survey.asp?deptID=894&surveyID=486&type=web

The more who complain the greater the chance of getting a fix.
