The RC went out the 14th, should be going gold in the next week, maybe even tommorow. Also Alot of people have been saying that the CE is suppose to have a big surprise in it. Some are thinking it will come with Hl2 sp CS:S HL1:S TF:S and DOD:S Ofcourse this is just a rumor ( I have been hearing alot lately).

Yes. How do you digitally remaster a "digital" game? I wonder what this is about?

The CE is DVD version, normal edition is CD. I guess some people are confused between the different packages? DVD-ROM's are down to 15-25$ now.

Half-Life Fallout reports that they’ve received word from Valve’s Gabe Newell on a final confirmation of Half-Life 2’s steam and retail packages. They have also revealed that the full version of Counter-Strike: Source will be available to Steam purchasers next week.

    Retail Boxes

    • Standard Edition — includes HL2 and CS:Source. Ships on six CDs, in one of three box-art packages (Gordon, Alyx or the G-Man),
    • Collector's Edition — includes Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 1: Source, a Half-Life 2 T-shirtand a Prima book sampler. Ships on a single DVD.
    Steam Packages

    • Bronze — HL2* and CS:Source.
    • Silver — HL2*, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 1: Source*, Day of Defeat: Source*, Valve's back catalog currently available on Steam.
    • Gold — HL2*, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 1: Source*, Day of Defeat: Source*, Valve's back catalog currently available on Steam, Complete Strategy Guide from Prima Games, 3 different Half-Life 2 posters, Half-Life 2 hat, Half-Life 2 postcard, Half-Life 2 stickers, Half-Life 2 Soundtrack CD, Chance to win a trip to Valve! (1 trip offered for every 5000 Gold packages purchased).
*To be made available upon product's release.

Alot of people believe valve is tired of waiting for vivendi to release gold, and is doing this to hurry them along.

From beta test reviews in magtazines (and people who have the chance to play it in internet cafes) cs:source isnt meant to actually be as good as the original.

    Roll on Quake IV!

Nice, the Steam Gold package sounds the best. I still won't d/l it though. I want my collectors edition box and I want it on DVD as well. HL2 Fallout is a pretty cool site.
