As some of you know, Valve will be "pushing" out parts of HL2 soon to Steam.

There are a few different versions of HL2:
    • Normal CD version
    • Special edition
    • Collectors edition (DVD version?) - I will be getting this one!
    • Web edition - you download it
Does anyone know any details on these editions?

Yahoo! has some good videos. Two new ones are out. Pretty good stuff, check them out.

I just dled Condition Zero from STEAM and with it came the SC: source BETA (really the only reason why i got CZ) and i would imagine that this would be very similar to WEB edition.

THIS IS QUOTED FROM WHAT I READ

"It's no secret that Half-Life 2 will have multiple editions, differentiating from each other not only in cost but also in content. From information on a French site, Half-Life Expert, we now know the costs of the various bundles. So far, however, nothing is known about the price of the Steam distributions - these prices are only for the products to be sold on store shelves.

The minimum bundle, including only singleplayer, will cost 30 euros. The standard bundle, including not only singleplayer but also multiplay in the form of CS: Source, will cost 60 euros. But the most interesting bundle for fans is the collector's edition:

This version of the game will be sold in a special metal box and will include a full Half-Life 2 (singleplayer and multiplayer), plastic figures of various characters in the game, posters, ported versions of old Valve games on the new engine, and other yet unannounced goodies. The cost of this edition will be 120 euros."

    You're welcome.

HL2 will run fine on your PC Bubba as long as you upgrade that card of yours. Just run at lower settings. Don't miss out on one of the best games.

I'm getting the downloadedable version from steam. I preordered it on Sept 30, 2003, but after the many delays i canceled the preorder.
