free anti virus

    Hi,my norton has just expired and i have read on here there are free alternatives on the web.Could anyone advise the best one to get.

    Yeah, AVG for me too. I am experimenting with different programs as we speak, so I will give the other a try too.

    I had problems with AntiVir crashing, AVG has been rock solid for over 5 months now :thumb:

    I use www.avast.com

    has regular updates and havent had any issues

    I'd recommend Avast too - I use it on my home machines. It compares very favourably with NOD32 (which I use in work - it's about £40 a year I think) and, IMHO, is more user friendly. My wife uses Avast without any trouble and she's very much less of a PC spod than me :)
