What's the new thing on the startup page all about? you click and you
get four tiles, and a key appears in the middle, but no more clicking
    achieves anything. ??

I don't see this with Firefox 33. I must have different startup options
    and/or addons.

    You use Linux?
WIN 8 64bit here no probs with FireFox 32 ("upgrading" to 33 now?)
Not recomending WIN8 (another downgrade) back to blue screens of death
unable to use RCA to USB, won't play DVD's complete rubbish. Microsoft
need to go back to last platform that worked (WIN3.11)

Nope what actually got better for major majority of users
Microsoft's scam is to continually "upgrade" so it slows down your
computer requiring more and more HDD space until you need another
    computer.
When you buy a new computer Microsoft sell another operating system!

Some years ago the traveling Carnival show had "Carnie's" mailing
balloon animals selling them to kids, then had others go around
popping balloon with cigarette, kid cry's parents buy $$$ another
animal balloon! M$ does same thing

I have never seen a M$ employee pop a balloon. That is even more B&T than
    usual.
I will take W7 over 3.11 any day. SWMBO will probably agree with you
    though..

M$ have popped your balloon so you now use W7'
    You use VISTA?
    Already popping the WIN7 "balloon"
You gonna camp outside Harvey Norman to buy "WIN 10"
    YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED

Australia's parliament needs to obey our Constitutions, the judiciary must apply the law!
Sir John Downer Kings Council, stated, when the Australian Constitution was finally adopted and on behalf of future generations,
‘Our Australian Commonwealth from its first stage will be a Christian Commonwealth’.

Sorry no Borgs here. Never had Vista. Have no interest in W10 for at least
    2-3 years
has to be stabilised first. Only gave up on XP when support withdrawn.
As Dyslexic of Borg said "your ass will be laminated".

Win 7 works fine and leaves every other version of Win for dead.

B&T should realise that 3.11 was WFW.

WIN7 worked reasonably well for me too but computer slowed down and
bought a "all in one PC" from ALDI.
No DVD player my "polderbits recorder" had to pay for a upgrade to 64
bit software can not see any upside to WIN8 complete downgrade
Popped my balloon as soon as I bought this crapware. Will probably go
for Win10 Win8 is us less

A two-party system gives the voter only one more choice than North Korea.

In a democracy of course you always get a choice
Do you want to be governed by the red or by the blue?
    it's entirely up to you!
Do you want to be patronized or condescended to, by liars or by crooks? You get to choose.
Would you prefer your fundamental values to be insulted or ignored by con-men or by charlatans?
In short do you want your influence to be zero or nil
and when would you like to be listened to, never or not at all, it's your choice
Do you want, some more choices.
    take-it-or-leave-it
Now there's a real choice I'd be happy with any kind of representation wouldn't you
I would like to see a new government and part of me doesn't give a
damn who's in it as long as it doesn't include anybody from the Labor, Liberal or
Green party organizations that show themselves to be without shame or principle

All spineless and authoritarian both cowardly and war mongering at the same time
we have proportional voting in Australia USE IT

Put Labor, Liberal and Green party last on your Ballot choose your
independant or small parties first then donkey vote down to those last
on your ballot. Stops the majors getting $5 a 1st preferance vote

    Mine hasn't.
    Without researching that product properly.
If you had bought better hardware you could have
just installed Win7 on it and carried on regardless.
Bullshit. 8.1 works fine with the classic shell.
You should have returned it once your realised
it was not what you should have bought.
    Its nothing like useless.

Its MS's attempt to allow their OS to use touch screens.
Bitter and Twisted, you, as you were told only last week
and has fallen out of the hole in your head due to your
    altzhiemers.

You have never had the need to upgrade from a 386 then?
I did, it's a ALDI works as well as any non-touch screen does and
around half the price of others
The hardware works fine WIN8 don't come with a DVD player
You have to find a non-M$ one
    Just use freeware
    http://www.sothinkmedia.com/

Can I get WIN 7 off my old machine instead of disk they give it on the
Hard Drive then there are driver issues with the latest hardware (all
    top quality 64 bit)
Depends what you did in WIN 7 in my case it won't do in WIN8
Needed A new computer this one is fine it's WIN8 the problem
Pretty crippled compared to WIN 3.11
