When people come over to my house that know about computers this thing embarrasses me. What could I possibly do to make this better.
    Specs.
    DL845 mobo
    p4 1.6 processor
    512 mb. sdram
original nvidia card (not a gaming card.)
What can I possibly do with this old thing? It's the slowest computer in the house.

Remove monitor, place under a desk, and turn it into a remotely administered file server.

I have an old 486 with 512MB of RAM and 3 NICs that has been a lot of things. It was a router, a firewall, a file server, an IDS and is currently a honeypot.

Yep, I like the idea of a file server :) That machine isn't too slow, so you could also use it as a PHP/MySQL dev server if you do that sort of thing.

Place a small cloth over it and place it next to your couch, or maybe add a coushin top to it and turn it into a foot rest.

Loads of useful suggestions there :D

Seriously with the prices of new PCs these days it is not worth spending time or money on it. Get any key files off and wipe the hard-drive and then it is scrap.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for the ideas. They we're all great. Goober's was the funniest though.
Good suggestion, but I forgot to mention it has a curved front. That would be a weird looking footrest.
