a friend of mine has a production company and wants me to start to get to know Motion. issue is, i'm an avid gamer and from what i know, Macs arent all that gaming friendly.
should i just settle and get a Mac, or buy a PC and dual-boot?

Personally, I'd buy a Macbook for about $500 bucks. I've built Macs using e-fix and it ain't worth it. Give the Macbook or Mac Mini a try, it'll save you a whole lotta trouble.

This is one of those threads that slipped through the cracks. No need to necro it

Dual booting a PC running Mac OS is not the simplest things that I have read about so ideally for this situation it's suggested that you obtain a Mac and run Boot Camp which is virtualization software for the Mac OS, it comes with it actually! From there you can emulate Windows in side of the Mac OS.
