Espeically having to put up with the morons that kept trying to stop her

  9. Wow, Steve. A News server tha honors Bambi newgroup messages created a
    Bambi newsgroup! How special!

Hehehehehe. I had to cut the Maxipad group from the crosspost. Not
    created here yet!

  10. Individual net is very inexpensive, I think about $12/yr. Text only
groups, and a little limited in what they have. The ones missing are
generally porn related from what I can see.

Eternal-september is free. Again text only, but it seems they have all
    the text groups.

I've used both and am now only on eternal-september. Both are excellent.

    usenetserver.com has it all:
    Unlimited Downloads
    Encrypted SSL Access
    99%+ Completion
    568 Days Article Retention
    Global Search
    10/20 Concurrent Connections
    Dynamic Route Selector
    Referral Credits
    24/7 Support & Live Chat

If you sell 3 accounts per month, your service is free from the
    referrals.

The only limit is how fast your internet connection can run. It simply
maxes out your modem bandwidth, 24/7, downloading from all the binary
groups on the planet. There is no censoring of binaries anywhere, even
on this group. No records of your even connecting are necessary as
there are no limits that need to count your bytes, ever....total
    anonymous downloading.

10 simultaneous ports is $13.32/mo, 20 simultaneous ports is
$15.98/month if you buy 3 months at a time online. 24 hour live chat
support. The new server farm is simply HUGE! 568 days binary
retention...teraterabytes of storage enough to bring any system to its
knees. I can read your posts back to about 1995 on most text
    newsgroups.

Currently they have a free trial for you to test it.....and become
    totally addicted.....

It's an amazing system my cable company provides to all its customers at
    no extra charge.....(c;]

If your ISP tries to block port 119, UNS has lots of other ports and
other user-controllable routings to choose from, even port 80 no ISP can
block as webpages wouldn't work. This route got a problem in it? Just
tell the server farm to use another selectable route!

Verizon customers just got hosed when Verizon stopped providing its tiny
usenet service. So, to attract them, UNS has a $10/mo for a year
special offer. When us file hogs half fill a pipe to UNS, UNS simply
orders more pipes. Use the reverse traceroute tester to test a route to
    you from the webpage.

UNS is the best I've ever seen.....and continues to grow, even now in
    the depression.

  12. I am positive that this thread you started is off topic. I am positive that
Michelle isn't doing her main job as proponent, which isn't being chum
    for -= Hawk =-.

I am positive that despite claims that the maxipad group was created
yesterday on eternal-september, I couldn't crosspost into it. Let's see
    what happens now.

  13. Did you refresh your group listing? I did, and this group showed up and
as you can see this is posting from eternal-september...

  14. Seems to be a fair price for a good server. I don't have a need for the
binary groups, so I just use the free eternal-september and previously
    used individual.net

  16. [Note Follow-ups]

I have been extremely happy with Individual.net (10 Euro per year). For
me text only is a benefit, not a limitation.
If I ever have reason to switch providers, I'll take a look at them.

  17. I deleted the local copy of the active file, forcing download of a fresh copy,
so I wouldn't get the error message again. Perhaps I'd forgotten to do that
    yesterday.

the traffic it deserves, ghod help it.
