Building my own computer and need advice

    The last thing you want to do is be cheap on the PSU. I have just learned this by experience; I bought an Enermax PSU and it decided to go super nova on me. Luckly it has protection against such catastrophes and was a worth while 120 dollar investment for a 1.5k+ system.

    Todays standards make sure you are buying an ATX v2.3 PSU with a good amount of amperage on the 12v rails. Another few I would recommend are: Enermax, Silver Stone, and PCP&C.

    Other than that Spike has got you covered.
