Bootmgr help

    Hi guys I am trying to reinstall windows xp pro but everytime I turn on my computer I getting this message "BOOTMGR is missing
    Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart"
    and I can't go any further when I restart the same message comes up...can anyone help me please ..regards weman4u..:rolleyes:

    If you're trying to reinstall then you should be booting from CD ...

    If you bootmgr is corrupt then you still need the CD to fix it using the "recovery console" Press 'R' when prompted ... then type fixboot at the command prompt.

    Hi Darthweb I cant get that far when I boot up it goes to black screen and this message it wont let me do anything else "BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart"

    You'll need to change the boot order in BIOS - Make sure the CD is set to be the first boot device, then your hard drive second. This way it will prompt you if you want to boot from CD.
