Same thing basically at Aus IT too.

    Makes you wonder two things:

    1) Why the recording industry worldwide is so behind the times that it wont
wake up. An example - I want to see the episodes of Starship Troopers
(Roughnecks) that you cant get here in Oz for our region on our DVD players.
I could buy the DVD from America easily enough but will it play? Seeing I
don't choose that route, I would LOVE to LEGALLY download those that I don't
have paying a small fee for doing so but can I? Nope! Bloody idiotic twits
that wont keep up with technology holding us back. I would MUCH prefer to
have "video on demand" which is what Bit Torrent could be, basically, if
    handled the right way.

    2) Given the current state of affairs because of the recording industry
arseholes who cant get into this century, why the hell you would risk being
taken to court for using things like Bit Torrent. The FTA is here now and
since that happened, the people in USA now CAN sue you directly for
illegally downloading. They just need ample evidence to convince courts and
they could only HONESTLY satisfy a court of that with data grabbed from Jan
1st 2005 so 3 months likely isn't enough in most cases. Wait, though. In a
year we'll either have a reputable legal download site or a string of
    lawsuits.

    Only the stupids like you.
Corse it will if you have a clue about getting a region free DVD player.

Even you should be able to manage that if someone was actually
stupid enough to lend you a seeing eye dog and a white cane.
They aint that stupid, they'd sell **** all, stupid.
    Only the mindlessly paranoid care.
Not a fucking clue, as always.
Not a fucking clue, as always.

Some gutless fuckwit that even Telecom had the sense
to give the bums rush, desperately cowering behind
    Unknown <>
desperately attempted to bullshit its way out of its predicament in
message and fooled absolutely no one at all. As always.

No surprise that even Telecom gave it the bums rush.

Probably because they sell the broadcast rights to various TV networks
who would prefer that they had first dibs at airing them.

Of course, it doesn't help when the networks refuse to air them, and
they wonder why BT for TV shows is massively popular.

Someone wrote into the Green Guide recently (Age newspaper TV
supplement). He basically said, who gives a stuff if Channel Nein
doesn't air Frasier and other shows' current episodes. He simply
downloads them, and reckons that we all should do the same.

I wrote back and said while I don't condone the act of downloading
shows, I can understand why people do it. Perhaps in an effort to combat
this, the TV networks should treat the fans of these shows a bit more
    fairly.

Naturally, it didn't make a rats arse of a difference, as Nein, Seven
etc. are still refusing to air current eps of their more popular shows.

In the article the RIAA rep lamented the view that CD sales were
dropping. He stated that piracy and P2P were the main causes. He didn't
acknowledge that people were spending more of their disposable income on
other things such as DVDs, Xbox/Playstation games and the like. So
naturally, CD sales are gonna suffer.

    And that's been documented.

Yeah, like Andromeda. Ten showed it no more than 6 times and dumped it and
it never gets aired. So, I have bought every DVD I can on the show.
Yes you CAN do that but if you do it a lot, you WILL get caught eventually.
Well, nice idea but they wont ever do it. Pushing you to pay TV is better
    for them.
.....and thus we are back to where we started. People WILL download illegally
    and they will sue.

Didn't Telecom give you the bums rush as well?

Perhaps they have more sense then most would give them credit for.

    No surprises there...
Not a fucking clue to its pathetic excuse for a nick.
So stupid that it hasnt even noticed that most of the
TV networks dont have anything to do with pay TV.
Only in your pathetic little drug crazed fantasyland.

Have fun listing those IN AUSTRALIA that have ever been sued for doing that,
    fool.

I've never ever worked for them, ever.

And have only visited Wagga for a short time, not even a full day, ever.

No wonder they gave you the bums rush.
