Back up contacts outside of iTunes?

    My 3G iPhone wants to delete 13 contacts when I sync. I know that I haven't
    deleted that many and I haven't deleted them from my address book. Is there
    any way to back up this data before a sync? Is there any way to determine
    which contacts it wants to delete?

    iPhone: Firmware 2.2 (Jailbroken)
    Software: iTunes 8.1
    OS: Windows Vista 64bit
    Syncing to: Windows Address Book

    Also, are there any benefits to syncing to a Google Contacts list instead?
