Apple iPad Retina

Discussion in 'iPad' started by [email protected], Aug 2, 2014.

  1. 1) Can someone tell me how I can multitask with iPad? When I am playing
a clip from YoutUbe in Safari and I then open a new tab in Safari, then
    the song stops playing.

    2) How can I obtain from my iPad that it always completes url's and
logins + passwords. It works for my provider and gmail but not for facebook.

It will only keep playing music listed as such, which is not part of the
Safari app. YouTube uses Safari. Change to another website and you close
    the former one.
Depends on your settings. Sites that save them on my laptop won't save
passwords on my new iPad Air. Different systems.

run the apps you want. it's up to the app what to do in the background.

streaming audio, gps navigation, voip apps, apps that connect to
bluetooth le hardware and any app that needs to finish a task, such as
uploading a file, can be fully operational in the background, but it's
actually up to the app to offer that ability.

most do, where it makes sense. it doesn't always.

also keep in mind that apps that run in the background can quickly
drain the battery, which is bad. most of the time, suspend/resume is
the best choice. it's not like you can keep playing a game, for
example, when it's in the background.
that's because you can't see video clips when in the background, so it
makes no sense to continue playing something you cannot see.
you can turn autofill on or off, which can include passwords.

there are also third party password managers, and their functionality
will dramatically improve in ios 8.

It can make plenty of sense to a human being. Aside from music, many
TV news programs and even documentaries lose almost nothing important
    from being merely heard.

then stream just the audio, which works just fine in the background.

 that's how I "watch" TV news shows most of the time.

Most TV shows these days are garbage and don't even lose anything
important when not seen or heard. ;-)
