I'm going through some guides for learning XML. Seems to be a popular standard out there for a lot of software, including MS Office 2003 and looks like it's the future of the way data is store for a lot of things on the net.

Seems pretty easy, so far. ;)

I was thinking of learning XML, but decided to learn PHP. Maybe I'll give it a shot later.

I went to w3schools.com and took their XML tutorial. I don't really like it that much, though. I think I'm going to be sticking with XHTML for now (It's got the good parts of both languages). For the sites I make, defining my own tags would only create more work.

XML really for containg data, not much for design. It is a little complicated.

I love XHTML though, so easy to do designs now with CSS and XHTML.

Yeah, I know. That's why it wouldn't be helpful in the sites I'm working on (they just show stuff, they don't really need something to hold data).
