Adapter to join 2 USB cables?

Discussion in 'Computing' started by Paul, May 4, 2004.

  1. In my experience All USB cables are male/male. Except for the extension
cables that come with Flash drives.
Most are AB. Flat connecter into machine, Square keyed plug into the device.
USB to miniB is used for smaller devices to save room. Kodak and other
cameras have USB to proprietry cables.
To do what you want you'd need some soft of plug with a female B plug and a
    Female A plug.

On another note, I've never had a look at the wiring inside a usb conector
but how hard would it be to cut the plugs off, soldier and heatshrink the
    connection?

The one about soldiering - that's an idea. I was just wondering whether that
connection plug existed, but I guess not. Regards

I am looking for the same thing''' looking at replies there doesn't appear tobe one in existance..most have not understood the question...it seams to me the only way to join two same cables is to cut and splice.
