Has anyone watched it yet? I am extremely intersted in watching it but it is only out in one theater here in hawaii.....its very ghetto so i rather wait for it on DVD.

For those who have never heard of this movie, its sort of a "1984" type of story where there is a "big brother" figure and the protagonist has to go against such a government to reach his goal.

I'm extremely interested in the movie, if only because of the animation techniques.

I heard that the cartoon part of the animation was done frame by frame. According to the producer, it was like shooting the movie twice, except the animated part took longer to do than filiming and editing the actual footage

I'm extremely angry that this movie isn't coming to where I'm at... grr i wants to see it...

I'm pretty sure that on the website it said that each frame took about 500 hours of work... seemed a bit extensive, but I suppose it could be possible with multiple people working on it...

If anybody's seen Waking Life, it's by the same director and uses the same kind of rotoscoping that a Scanner Darkly uses.

Thanks for the link, do you know of any mirrors I can get this from? There appears to be an age verifcation thing that doesn't even work. I put in my real birthday and it realoded the page asking me to verify my age again....and then I put that I was born in 1974 and again, they asked me to verify my age. I really hate having to register with sites to download things...

Well it still works on my end. when you enter the year you were born did you enter four digits instead of two? I know that will throw it off.

And its not a ploy. the only thing you are bombarded with is a single window which plays the video in 640x480 res. No ads whatsoever.
