Apparently the lens protrudes a bit on the 6P.

    Anyone?

    Using a case?

    Which one?

  2. I use the Speck CandyShell Grip. Protects the sides and back very well
and is just deep enough on the back to protect the slightly protruded
camera lens. The front of the case is slightly higher than the screen
and well padded overall so it should protect the phone in a drop and
    daily use.

I got mine at the VZW store when I got the 6+ for $30 after the 25%
    discount they offered.

Here's a link to the same case on Amazon:

Thanks - I am wondering about the two Apple cases (Leather and silicon).

Nothing on Amazon.ca to match yours ... unless willing to wait 1 - 2 months!

For my iP5S I use a case from BooqBag, their "Glass+Case" which adds a
tempered glass screen protector. They currently don't carry an iP6+
    offering.

I like the Newtrent Alixo. It provides good protection without adding
    any noticeable bulk.

Tempered glass screen protectors are available via Amazon, and they
have an affordable case + glass offering in a bundle.

    Alan Browne:
Apple's brown leather case. Good fit, good looking, good feeling, good
protection. Doesn't add much bulk to the iPhone 6+.

Not for me. I'll probably get the Apple leather case.

I'm leaning that way. Does it protect the lens adequately?

Easily. There is just over 1 mm between the lens surface and outer edge
    of the case.

  11. The lens is protected. I do not use a case, nor did I with 5S. I keep it
in my front jeans pocket with nothing else in that pocket, ever.

I have not used a case on my iPhone for a long time (I had one on my
    iPhone 4, but I took it off). However, if I had a 6 or 6P I would have a
case because I find those phones to be quite slippery.

On the 6P the lens protrudes and does not retract flush with the body.

    I'm not manufacturing a problem - Apple manufactured a phone with a
protruding lens. I would have preferred a thicker body over the lens
    protruding.

I want the phone to lie flat, to not snag on anything and mostly I want
to protect the lens from damage from snagging or scratching.

I also don't want a thick, rigid, heavy case around it.

The leather case from Apple seems the best, but some comments about it
are that it tears or comes apart too easily.

On the Apple site some leather case owners complain that it "blisters"
if water drops get on it and are not immediately removed and that the
seams come apart easily. How long have you had it and how is it wearing?

That's why I have a hard rubber case on my iPhone 4. After the first
couple days it had slid off of the car seat several times just by coming
to a stop. The rubber case is thin but also 'sticky' enough to prevent
the phone sliding in most situations and doesn't bulk it up.

Apple manufactured the problem and it is my choice if I want to accept
it (I don't) or do something about - like many others do. Indeed Apple
not only offer two cases to "protect" the iPhone, they go to some
lengths to obfuscate the problem in their advertising photos.

Further, these things are slippery and tend to fly off of car seats when
stopping, so a non slippery case is worthwhile to prevent that as well.
(I added a case to my iPhone 4 for that reason).

I don't care if the device gets a patina of use - OTOH, one of the
reasons I chose the 6P over the 6 was for the optical stabilization - so
I do want to protect that lens for what will be, hopefully, a 5 year
ride. (The iPhone 4 has not made it to quite 4 years - I'm tired of
using it with iOS 7 (my mistake for updating it from iOS 6) and the home
button that is intermittent - the "calibration" routine is only useful
for a few hours before it goes bad again)).

Your tinting this as me being "desperate" (ad hominem lite) is beneath you.
